Spectacles on Bible

Daily Lesson for Friday 11th of July 2025 Read Ellen G.White, “Moses,” Pages 251–256, in Patriarchs and Prophets. A Boy Searches in a Crowd

Daily Lesson for Thursday 10th of July 2025 Read Exodus 4:18-31. How do we understand this strange story, and what lesson can we take from it? Bible students are shocked when they read that, after Moses obeyed the Lord and started his journey back to Egypt, the Lord “was about to kill him” (Exodus 4:24, … Continue reading –>

Moses' Staff Turns Into a Snake

Daily Lesson for Wednesday 9th of July 2025 Read Exodus 4:1-17. What set of signs did God give to Moses to perform in order to strengthen his position as God’s messenger? Moses again tried to excuse himself from the task God asked of him (see Exodus 3:11). He did not want to go to Egypt … Continue reading –>

Moses and the Burning Bush

Daily Lesson for Tuesday 8th of July 2025 Read Exodus 3:13-22. Why did Moses want to know God’s name, and what is the significance of His name? God presents Himself to Moses as “’ehejeh ’asher ’ehejeh,” which literally means “I will be who I will be,” or “I am who I am.” In Exodus 3:12, … Continue reading –>

Moses with the Burning Bush

Daily Lesson for Monday 7th of July 2025 “The angel of the Lord” appeared to Moses in flames of fire “from within a bush” (Exodus 3:2, NIV). 2: The Burning Bush – Singing with Inspiration

Sabbath School Net Posted on July 6, 2025 by Corinne KnopperJuly 6, 2025avatar

Exodus points us to a wonderful conclusion with the Israelites being bound for the Promised Land, hence our theme hymn for the quarter being  We Are Bound For The Promised Land – Hymn 620.  Sabbath afternoon opens immediately with “God’s call” just as we find that  Jesus Calls Us – Hymn 285. The question then … Continue reading –>

Sabbath School Net Posted on July 6, 2025 by Michael FrackerJuly 6, 2025Michael Fracker

Key Thought: God’s call can change the direction of a person’s life. But if they follow the call, it is always the best path for them. But sometimes it is not easy to follow God’s call. July 12, 2025 1. Have a volunteer read Exodus 3:1-6. Ask class members to share a short thought on … Continue reading –>

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
