  1. Thank you, Maurice, for your listing of appropriate hymns for this week, and a theme hymn for the quarter. Before I had read down the list, the “old” hymn of “Dare to be a Daniel” instantly came to mind. Sadly, there are many “old” hymns that are not in the new hymnal, but I guess that’s “progress”!
Where is Corrine? I trust she is well and will continue to contribute her musical knowledge and input.
God bless you all at SSNet.

    • Oops. I am the one that published Corinne’s post and in my hurry I forgot to change the author’s name. Corinne is alive and well and I actually passed her on her way to work when I was on my way back from my bird photography walk. (we are neighbours) We stopped and chatted about the six or seven instruments issue – six named in the KJV, only five is some other translations, and seven claimed by the lesson authors. We have both independently made the observation that the combination was more like a concert ensemble than a Clarion Call.

  2. I always read your comments, and they inspire me. However, I have one problem, I read the bible and the lesson but I don’t understand. I rarely comment in my class where i worship. Whenever I try to pray and open the bible to read, I fall asleep. Pray for me.

    • Hi Linda
Pray is going up to the Lord just for you, so the He will intervene for you to pray and read your Bible!
      🙂
      Blessings to you

  3. Thanks to both of you. All is well. I didn’t think anything was different, Maurice, until I saw your name at the end. The format was that of Corinne, hence my post. Look forward to continued input from both of you in your respective areas. God bless you.

  4. Did I meet you Corinne just recently in church at Avondale Memorial? I think I did and would love to see you more. Your name is familiar as I said and now I see why!

    • Happy Sabbath, Joy.
Yes, we met at Avondale Memorial Church last Sabbath 🙂
Blessings to you and your ministry
      Corinne

  5. Thanks Corinne – that has solved my dilemma. It was great to meet you. I’m in PNG right now packing up my house and hope to meet up with you another time in Cooranbong sometime. Bless you. JOY

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
