09: The Pre-Advent Judgment – Teaching Plan
Key Thought : When God judges His people, He justifies, delivers, and vindicates; but on the other hand, He condemns, punishes, and destroys evil.
[Teaching plan for The Pre-Advent Judgment November 25, 2013]
1. Have a volunteer read Daniel 7:8-13
a. Ask class members to share a thought on what the most important point in this text is.
b. When does the judgment being set occur according to these passages?
c. Personal Application : What books are opened during the judgment? How would you feel about looking at your own book of deeds? Share your thoughts.
d. Case Study : One of your relatives states: “What does it mean that the Son of man came to the Ancient of days?” How would you respond to your relative?
2. Have a volunteer read Genesis 3:10-13
a. Ask class members to share a short thought on what the main idea of this text is.
b. What does God do here before He pronounces judgment?
c. Personal Application : Why don’t people own up to their own mistakes and stop blaming others? Share your thoughts.
d. Case Study : One of your friends states, “Is God’s judgment something for us and against us? What makes the difference?.” How would you respond to your friend?
3. Have a volunteer read Romans 14:10-12
a. Ask class members to share a short thought on what the most important point is in this passage.
b. What works of darkness should we cast off according to this Scripture?
c. Personal Application : Why is it so important that we let people know about the activities of the devil on the earth? Share your thoughts.
d. Case Study : One of your neighbors states, “With all the things going on in the world now, why would the people that believe Jesus is coming soon be asleep in any sense of the word? In what ways are they asleep?” How would you respond to your neighbor?
4. Have a volunteer read Daniel 7:21-26
a. Ask class members to share a short thought on what the main idea of this text is.
b. How important is it that we let people know about the little horn power as the antichrist and warn them to come out and not follow her teachings and system?
b. Personal Application : Since we are living in the Day of Judgment, or Day of Atonement, how should we live and focus on? Share your thoughts.
c. Case Study : Think of one person who needs to hear a message from this week’s lesson. Tell the class what you plan to do this week to share with them.
