1: Paul and the Ephesians – Singing with Inspiration
Welcome to the Third Quarter of 2023 studying the Bible.
The book of Ephesians does show us “How to Follow Jesus in Trying Times”:
Hymn 623 – I Will Follow Thee, My Saviour, so that our actions will always speak louder than our words.
May we all be like Paul, and be ready to
Go, Preach My Gospel – Hymn 378 as we are in these last days of earth’s history. It will be wise to choose to be
Watchman, Blow The Gospel Trumpet – Hymn 368 and not worship the deities as did those in Artemis, but rather:
Hymn 83 – O Worship The King and
Hymn 6 – O Worship The Lord.
A closing statement on Monday does tell us to
Watch, Ye Saints – Hymn 598.
May we be like those who were faithful in Ephesus (Wednesday):
For All The Saints – Hymn 421 and always
Praise The Lord – Hymn 1 along with our prayer time:
Hymn 478 – Sweet Hour Of Prayer.
Just as Paul’s letter to the Ephesians is “A Christ-Saturated Letter”, may we rejoice and sing
Christ for the World – Hymn 370 because
Christ Is Coming – Hymn 201. Therefore we need to be Christ-centred, Christ-like which equals Christian. This will give us courage to
Lift Him Up – Hymn 371
So, dear people, be encouraged to go forward and
“Lift up the trumpet and loud let it ring, Jesus IS coming again” – Hymn 213.
To learn unknown hymns, you will find the accompaniment music for each one at: https://sdahymnals.com/Hymnal/
Another great resource is for when there is a hymn you wish to sing but can’t find it in your hymnal. Go to https://www.sdahymnal.org/Search and in the search bar type a special word in that is in the hymn. I am sure you will be amazed at the help you will be given.
2 Timothy 2:15 KJV – “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
