The Two Witnesses Revisited

Sabbath School Net Posted on May 7, 2024 by Inge AndersonMay 27, 2024avatar
Goddess of Reason - French Revolution

Are you confused by the discussion surrounding the “Two Witnesses” in Revelation 11? I think the lesson author of “The Two Witnesses” does a pretty good job of explaining it, but, judging by the comments suggesting interpretations that cannot fit the description given, confusion remains. The language in Revelation is prophetic and figurative, but the … Continue reading –>

Daily Lesson for Wednesday 8th of May 2024 Read Revelation 11:11. What prediction does this text make about the Word of God? At the end of the French Revolution, God’s Word would, figuratively, come to life again. There would be a mighty revival. Guillotine Ready to Kill Witnesses by Cutting the Bible in Two

Daily Lesson for Tuesday 7th of May 2024 Read Revelation 11:7-9. Remembering that the language is symbolic, what do these verses predict would happen to God’s two witnesses, the Old and New Testaments? By a.d. 538, the pagan Roman Empire had collapsed. Justinian, the Roman emperor, surrendered civil, political, and religious authority to Pope Vigillis. … Continue reading –>

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
