HopeSS: Major Themes in 1st and 2nd Peter — 5 Comments

  1. I’m 11 years young and I watch Hope Sabbath Scbool when I visit my grandma in North Carolina (USA). We have fun watching you guys bring the scriptures to life the way you do. God bless you all and keep up the awesome job you are doing. Olivia

  2. Thank you Hope Sabbath school for another great study! The text you were looking for is 1 John 3:16 ‘This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.’

  3. Thank you for opening up my mind on what it means to live by Grace and what it means to live a godly live. For many who talks about being saved by Grace alone, this message or study is for us all. It will surely help all of us.

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
