How I Ruined Satan’s Day — 11 Comments

  1. That has to be one of the best posts I’ve read on this website. Let’s destroy the devil’s confidence today!

  2. Thank you for this great post. It served as timely reminder to stop belly aching and complaining and whining like a spoilt child deprived of sweets (candy)🍬 whenever things don’t go the way l think they should and to start behaving as a mature grown up Christian.
Ephesians 4:13, 15 Till we all become mature in knowledge of the Son of GOD, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness CHRIST…we may in all things grow up into…CHRIST

  3. I think it’s not fair to blame God or Satan whenever we have misfortunes. We have to accept our own faults and responsibilities as we are living in a fallen world. It is good to have sour grapes attitude if it helps our down feelings but sure it is better to claim the blessings of God through the hope of a Savior our Lord Jesus Christ

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
