Let’s Keep Studying Together — 8 Comments

  1. We do lock our God in a building; however, Christ lives in our heart. Thank you for quoting Matthew 18:19-20. I know verse 20 in memory but when you read V19 we get the complete picture, God believes in our interaction. There is strength in coming together. Satan is trying his utmost to destroy our discipline to walk with our Lord. Run the race do not let the distraction destroy the relationship, stay focused the end there is an eternal life that will not be overcome by any diseases of this world.
May God bless us and make His face shine upon us
    Amen

    • Last sabbath we stayed home, watched 3 sermons online (before breakfast, after lunch, before dinner), had a wonderful breakfast and lunch and had a great discussion with my husband over bible study without feeling rushed. It was the BEST Sabbath for us for as long as we can remember. We are very active in church and does not even experience “ sabbath rest “ during Sabbath. This pandemic had been a blessing - more time to spend with family, more time to rest/ sleep and more time to reflect.

  4. My son and I had a wonderful service by watching a song service live last night. Then we watched a sermon live this morning. It's good to interact. We reached out to the elderly and lonely.

  5. God will preserve the end of his people.

When Adam looked around he saw all the animals had a pair. He was lonely. God knew man needed a companion, provided Eve and sent them to go and reproduce. Humans weren’t not to be alone. There is a purpose for a church/people meeting together, as well as a community. It built each other. We share, we comfort, we encourage etc each other. Solitary confinement kills people without the use of a weapon.
Let us continue to study God words.

    • Thank you for your thoughtful comments and I am glad to hear how everyone has been enjoying the Sabbath. Jesus' custom was to go to the synagogue each Sabbath, but He also told the pharisees their house was desolate and warned His disciples that one day the temple would be destroyed. In the New Testament many had church in homes. Today many have church in homes underground where churches are illegal. Whatever our situation we must continue meeting together and encouraging each other with or without a church building. We are the church. We don't want to be like the Jews in Christ's day when He told them their house was desolate or like the Jews in Jeremiah's day when God said, "Do not trust in these lying words, saying, ‘The temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord, the temple of the Lord are these." Jeremiah 7:14. We need to remember what Paul said, " in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit." Ephesians 2:22

  6. Yes, let's keep studying together, how can we promote more interaction?
Encourage more personal opinions on the meaning of the daily lesson
Maybe insert Joyce's discussion questions as a comment on each daily lesson?
Continue to have a separate posts on issues/subjects that need more in depth discussions or are not covered by the lessons but are topical?
    Any other suggestions?
