Memory Text: “At that time Michael shall stand up, The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation, even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, every one who is found written in the book’” (Daniel 12:1, NKJV).
Last week we looked at “the counterfeit trinity”, Satan (the dragon) and two earthly powers that together will bring persecution against God’s people.
One of these powers, the sea beast (Rev. 13:1-10), is described as a composite of a leopard, a bear, and a lion (Rev. 13:2) — images taken directly from Daniel 7:4-6. We saw in week six that in Daniel chapter 7 — after the rise of Babylon (lion), Media-Persia (bear), and Greece (leopard) — came the final earthly power, Rome. It started out as pagan Rome and then turned into papal Rome, the little horn power of Daniel 7:7-8; Dan. 7:19-21; Dan. 7:23-25; which rose directly out of the fourth beast. We saw, too, that many of the characteristics of papal Rome, as depicted in these verses in Daniel chapter 7, reappear in the sea beast of Revelation 13:1-10. Hence, Bible scholars have seen Rome as one of the key antagonists in the end-time scenario of Revelation chapter 13.
However, Rome is not alone. Another power is depicted. This week we will focus mostly on Revelation chapter 13 and the events and powers portrayed in it, as always asking the questions: What do these events mean, and how can we be prepared for them?
Study this week’s lesson to prepare for Sabbath, June 9.
At that time Michael Shall stand up.
Isaiah 3: 13 - 14
The Lord takes his place in court;
he rises to judge the people.
14 The Lord enters into judgment
against the elders and leaders of his people:
“It is you who have ruined my vineyard;
the plunder from the poor is in your houses.
15 What do you mean by crushing my people
and grinding the faces of the poor?”
declares the Lord, the Lord Almighty.
when the world stands against the people of God.
Isiah declares God will rise to judge the people.
The Lord enters into judgement.
For, “In just a little while, he who is coming will come and will not delay.”
If He shall stand, He will not sit until the judgment is made complete.
Blessed assurance we have, even though we walk amidst the troubles and torment of the evil one Christ will never leave nor forsake us, He will stand and never seat down..... We serve the living God, Yes we are going to encounter, distress, persecution and rejection in this life, the systems of this world is going to turn against the children of God, But mine prayer is that may God help us press hard and preach His word, so that the end may come...
We are leaving in the time where trials and tribulations are at peak, because the Devil is working day and night tirelessly to deceive and He has given power to the systems of this world so that humanity will be drawn to the things of this world and receive it's Mark on it's head. But the children of God are called to come out of this world, (Isaiah 26:20-21) for Christ is just about to pass the judgement Ezekiel 5:9. Nevertheless tribulations will be so intensified, but Christ will shorten its span for the sake of His Chosen ones Matthews 24:20-21. The loving father we serve...
To all my fellow brethren rev14;12 is to be our stand point as of brethren in babylon.
“At that time Michael shall stand up, The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people;"
Stands up to accuse or stands up to defend against the accuser Satan?
Who attacks Daniel's people? This time of trouble does it come from God attacking his own people or the Dragon?
Who delivers the sons of Daniel's people?
"And at that time your people shall be delivered, every one who is found written in the book’”
