Saved by His Life — 4 Comments

  1. This reminds me of a text "What is man that you are mindful of him?" The creator and God of the universe would empty himself and made himself to be like a servant and dwelt among us.

There are times when I was discouraged because of my weaknesses. And I realized how Satan has used that discouragement to keep pulling me down. But as I read the message of Christ taking the cross for me, it uplifts me.

  2. The explanation for the means and way to eternal life only needs one text and one answer. Romans 6:23 Our salvation is a Gift of God. by His Son Jesus Christ.

  3. I don't mean this in an unkind way at all, but salvation must be more than a legal slight of hand that allows God to ignore the reality of my sinful life so that I can go to heaven, live in a big mansion, and walk streets of gold. Salvation must also be a change of heart and mind wherein I accept my own inability to right my life and acknowledge that God is the only One who can. I see my own helplessness to do or even know what is right and the misery, suffering, and loss that sin has caused for God, Jesus, and everyone else in this universe. I recognize that God's rules are given to protect me from the harm that sin causes and want nothing more to do with it ever. I understand through Jesus coming to die on a cross for me the love that God has for me and His willingness to give whatever it takes to save me, regardless of the cost to Himself. I believe that I can trust a God who would behave thus and agree to allow Him to be the guide, the God of my life. "God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting men's sins against them. 2 Cor 5:19. Hope this helps. steve
