What Are You Worth? — 12 Comments

  1. It is little things that test the character. It is unpretending act of daily self denial, perform with a cheerful, willing heart that God smiles upon. We are not to live for self but for others. And it is only by SELF FORGETFULLNESS, by cherishing a LOVING HELPFUL SPIRIT, that we can make our life a BLESSING. The little attention, the small, simple courtesies, go far to make up the sum of life's happiness, and neglect of these constitutes no small share of human wretchedness.. 2. Jesus' answer to the rich young ruler to sell all that he had and give to the poor seems applicable here. That wasn't all though, and follow Me was also included. How difficult is it to help someone in need, or buy the latest what ever instead? Will we have to give account for bad choices? Jesus had no where to even lay his head. But He gave the most important gift that is possible. Where and what are our priorities?

  3. Giving is sometimes difficult when we think of all the other commitments we have and yes, when we think of our wants. However, Jesus has instructed us in 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 (NIV): "Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly, will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously, will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver".

  4. The deeds that Jesus says will be remembered in Heaven are acts of service to fellow men. Matthew 25:35 - For I was hungry, and you gave me food: I was thirsty, and you gave me drink: I was a stranger, and you took me in:naked, and ye clothed me; I was sick, and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

  6. God gave All He had to save us humans. One of His most
Precious gifts is time. I must learn to plan, so I invest time
and do not waste it. Thanks

  7. We are blessed only as we are a blessing to others. That's worth it all. Denying self is our blessing. I am greatly blessed right now by this article. May God continue to bless you as you bless others

  9. What are you worth? Be fruitful and multiply. If you can share what you have to build others to live a purposeful life with the living God as the center of their being, praise God, I can go in peace. To gather wealth and live a wretched life is unworthy of living. It is like the man who hid is talent in the ground without making a profit. Be fruitful and multiply your worthiness to others that they become fruitful and multiply their worthiness to others. If you cannot save a soul or make someone happy, how are you worthy in the kingdom of God?

  10. We are worth nothing no matter how much we give away. We are nothing compared to the price paid for our redemption. And no matter how much we have or give away will not change this fact. We are, however, worth more than the pearl of great price when we live the price of our salvation..a life that cannot be defined in dollars and cents
