Wednesday: The Messiah “Cut Off”

Sabbath School Net Posted on May 2, 2023 by Sabbath School LessonApril 19, 2023avatar
Jesus, Our Sacrifice

Gabriel began the explanation of the 490-year prophecy with an event that was extremely important to Daniel and to the Jews — the command to restore and build Jerusalem. Though various decrees had been passed regarding Jerusalem, in Ezra 7:1-28, we discover that the decree passed in 457 B.C. allowed the Jews not only to … Continue reading –>

The Cleansing of the Sanctuary in Scripture

Sabbath School Net Posted on May 1, 2023 by William EarnhardtMay 12, 2024avatar

When people ask me why Adventists do not keep the feast days, I tell them we do – literally! At the cross we had the literal Passover. Ever since 1844 we have been living in the literal Day of Atonement. When Jesus returns and we go to heaven it will literally be The feast of … Continue reading –>

Tuesday: The Angel’s Instruction to Daniel

Sabbath School Net Posted on May 1, 2023 by Sabbath School LessonApril 19, 2023avatar
70 Week Prophecy

Read Daniel 9:23. What specific instruction does the angel give to Daniel? Why is this significant in understanding the meaning of the cleansing of the sanctuary in Daniel 8:14? The angel plainly instructed Daniel to “consider the matter, and understand the vision” (Daniel 9:23, NKJV). What matter, and what vision? Because there is no vision recorded in Daniel … Continue reading –>

Monday: The 2,300 Days and the End Time

2,300 Days Prophetic Chart

Read Daniel 8:17, Daniel 8:19, Daniel 8:26. What time period does the angel declare that the vision of Daniel 8:1-27 and the 2,300 days apply to, and why is that important to understand? Some argue that the 2300 days are literal days. They also believe that this little horn of Daniel 8:1-27 applies to the Seleucid military leader … Continue reading –>

6: The Hour of His Judgment – Singing With Inspiration

Sabbath School Net Posted on April 30, 2023 by Corinne KnopperApril 30, 2023avatar

“Three Cosmic Messages” encourages us to  Watch, Ye Saints – Hymn 598 as we near the end of this old world’s history to witness the Second Coming of our Lord, and Saviour, Jesus Christ. This is a wonderful hymn to give courage, dear people, and is our theme for this quarter.  We will be noting at … Continue reading –>

Sunday: The Cleansing of the Sanctuary

Sanctuary - Laver With High Priest

As we have already seen, there must be a judgment before Christ comes. The angel announces in a loud voice that “the hour of His judgment has come” (Revelation 14:7, NKJV). The book of Daniel gives us the time when this judgment begins. Read Daniel 8:14. What specific timetable does Daniel give us regarding the cleansing of … Continue reading –>

Jesus is the Sinner’s Advocate and Friend

Sabbath School Net Posted on April 27, 2023 by William EarnhardtMay 2, 2023avatar

My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world. 1 John 1:1-2 NKJV An … Continue reading –>

Inside Story: A Guy on a Bicycle

Anthony Kent

A Guy on a Bicycle By Anthony Kent On dusty outback roads, through dry monotonous terrain, and under a merciless hot Australian sun, Philip rode his bicycle hundreds of miles selling hope-filled Christian books as a literature evangelist. One day, he came to a farm in the middle of nowhere, a place called Eugowra. Here, … Continue reading –>

Spectacles on Bible

Further Thought:  Look at the powerful insights the Spirit of Prophecy gives us in regard to the state of God’s people in the last days, in the time of judgment and the end of the world. “Their only hope is in the mercy of God; their only defense will be prayer. As Joshua was pleading … Continue reading –>

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
