GoBible.org by Bruce Cameron

Introduction: How should the church deal with members who actively rebel against God? Why do you think they rebel? If you have fallen away from God in the past, you may be more sympathetic to those who fall. If you are one whose life has generally followed God’s rules, then you may have trouble sympathizing … Continue reading –>

People in the hand of God

Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors, there is safety. Proverbs 11:14 NKJV As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. Proverbs 27:17 NKJV As we study this week’s Sabbath School lesson, about the apostasy of Israel, including Aaron, their priest, I am … Continue reading –>

People Worshiping the Golden Calf

Daily Lesson for Monday 8th of September 2025 Read Exodus 32:6. Where did their idolatry quickly lead them? (See also Psalms 115:4-8; Psalms 135:15-18; Isaiah 44:9-10.) The golden calf resembled the Egyptian bull god, called Apis, or cow god, called Hathor. This was a blatant transgression of the first and second commandments (Exodus 20:3-6). This … Continue reading –>

Sabbath School Net Posted on September 6, 2025 by Corinne KnopperSeptember 6, 2025avatar

Exodus points us to a wonderful conclusion with the Israelites being bound for the Promised Land, hence our theme hymn for the quarter being  We Are Bound For The Promised Land – Hymn 620.  Sabbath afternoon’s introduction encourages us to remember “about God’s gracious love” as do Hymn 76 – O Love That Wilt Not … Continue reading –>

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
