11: The Bible and Prophecy – Discussion Starters

Sabbath School Net Posted on June 7, 2020 by Joyce GriffithMay 14, 2024Joyce Griffith

Historicism and prophecy. Do you believe it is a blessing that Bible-believing Christians can follow an uninterrupted Biblical chronology of end-time events? If you do, explain why God chose a logical and time-based description of events from centuries before the first advent of Christ to the establishment of God’s eternal kingdom. How did God deal with … Continue reading –>

11: The Bible and Prophecy -Singing with Inspiration

Sabbath School Net Posted on June 7, 2020 by Corinne KnopperJune 7, 2020avatar

There are many hymns we could choose as a theme for this series of lesson studies.  Here are just two, the first being Hymn 272 – Give Me the Bible, followed by  Hymn 277 – For Your Holy Book We Thank You. Thank you to the ladies who messaged in and suggested that we could also add the song Ancient Words – if … Continue reading –>

Sabbath School Net Posted on June 1, 2020 by Joyce GriffithJune 1, 2020Joyce Griffith

David, Solomon, and the Monarchy. Of course, it’s hard to believe, especially if you’re a new student of God’s Word, but don’t you find it to be a marvelous blessing for us to put him at the two-gated city of Shaaraim? Does the Bible give you enough evidence that you never doubt the rule of King … Continue reading –>

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
