  1. Sister Lopez, this is a very beautiful peice. It is so fitting, I saw the entire 10 commandments wrapped up in this article without you putting any additional comments. God bless you.

  2. your story made me laugh so much and also made understand much better how to explain to others what the law is. So many times we are accused of being legalistic, how people easily dismiss the 10 commandments because of that one they don't keep.

  3. Hello Lillianne,
Your illustrations are so beautifully done. That was such a great analogy about your dog Bach and the ten commandments. You made it so easy to grasp the relationship that exists between us and God,and the keeping of His commandments. Thanks for your words of wisdom.

PS: On a side note what ever happened to Bach? I feel I can identify with him.

    • Bach lived with us for around 12 years. Somewhere along the way he developed cancer. He fought it for a couple of years but then he just was in too much pain and so we put him to sleep. It was very hard for the whole family. We do miss him very much. Thank you for asking and reading.

  4. I praise God this morning for this story. So funny and so relevant to Gods 10 promises. Thank you so very, very much for writing this story. I praise our Father for giving you such an awesome gift to share with me and your extended family of readers here at this web-site. Im gonna print this story and share it with my sabbath morning class. Please pray for me. I want to learn how to teach effectively. My story is unique. I have a small group of women that meet on sabbath morning. Each person hosts a sabbath class at their house. We rotate. None of these women are SDA's. We have a bible study time first -amazing facts-then listen to a sermon -mostly by Elizabeth Talbot- She is a great illustrator and gives the listener tools to help aide in their learning experience. She preaches Gods unconditional love and also about a Faith that works-. The group is slowly growing. I pray God will show me what to do if it gets bigger. I love our unique SDA message. I'm so happy to be used to do Gods work.
I'm also very happy to have the priviledge of learning from the contributing writers on this web site. Praise God you are all amazing. Thank you again for the beautiful lesson of Gods 10 promises today.
    your sister in Christ Jesus,
    Denise

  5. Excellent point Lillianne, that when we escape our boundaries we enter another set of boundaries, and it is much harder to get away from Satan's boundaries than it was to get into them. Many think breaking God's commands brings freedom, when it actually makes us slaves to sin. Thank you for this post!

  6. When seeing the fence I immediately thought of the sermon of riding the fence. As I read the wonderfull story/illustrations I realized Bach was riding the fence and Shadow was satisfied staying on the right side of the fence.
    Good day

  8. Quite often we think of the fence as something that keeps us in but I think it is more of a device that keeps others out. It becomes a sort of force field that protects us from dangerous intrusions into our lives. Because of that I believe we can be thankful to God who gave us that protection and when everybody stays within their given boundary then everyone is safe. I believe that is what Heaven is, a place where there is no fear or stress because no one sees another person's fence as theirs to violate whenever they want.

  9. I cried reading through this article, it's a beautiful piece and I would like to thank you for sharing such thought of God's commandments. I have been growing up in the church and all my life I was confuse and not certain of what was God plan for us. Now I am 25 my eyes has now open to what was blinding me. Thank you again.

    • Hi, Toreka. Trying to get a hold of you any way I can to try and send my condolences and let you know I'm praying for you! I would really love to still be friends and can't figure out why you stopped communicating with me. If I've done something to upset you I do apologize. I'm SO sorry to hear about your sister!
