8 Unity in Faith – Singing with Inspiration
The Memory Text opens our study with the enthusiastic and encouraging:
Hymn 340, “Jesus Saves”. This hymn continues on into Sunday and is strengthened by:
Hymn 506, “A Mighty Fortress”.
A part of the name of our church is studied on Monday in the “Second Coming of Christ”. There are so many awesome hymns for this topic:
Hymn 438, “You Shall See Your Lord A-Coming”,
Hymn 213, “Lift Up The Trumpet” (also known as “Jesus Is Coming Again”),
Hymn 200, “The Lord Is Coming”,
Hymn 454, “Don’t You See My Jesus Coming” and
Hymn 201, “Christ Is Coming”, just to name a few.
Tuesday’s topic is happening prior to Jesus coming in
Hymn 293, “Heavenly Father Bless Us now” Two more hymns on the Tuesday study are:
Hymn 280 “Come, Ye Sinners” and
Hymn 177, “Jesus, Your Blood and Righteousness”.
The second part of our church name is studied on Wednesday, “The Sabbath”:
Hymn 388, “Don’t Forget The Sabbath”,
Hymn 381, “Holy Sabbath, Day of Rest” and
Hymn 390, “We Love Thy Sabbath, Lord”.
Hymn 198, “And Can It Be”, Hymn 166,
“Christ the Lord Is Risen Today”, Hymn 169, “Come, You Faithful” and
Hymn 21, “Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise” enhance the study on Thursday.
We are reminded on Friday we have the “belief in salvation by faith alone” which is reflected in
Hymn339, “God Is My Strong Salvation”. This is “an unmerited gift of grace” –
Hymn 517, “My Faith Looks Up to Thee”.
I do hope one of your favourite hymns is listed for this week.
Blessings to you all.
