  1. Being led by the Holy Ghost. As SDA Christians and leaders we must be led by his spirit. We must be seeking Him daily to control our lives.
#4. King Cyrus- King Darius- King Artaxerxes. The time had come for the prophecy to be fulfill. Ezra 7: 6 He was a ready scribe in the law of Moses, which God gave him. Verse 10. For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the Lord, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statues and judgments. Verse 12. He was also a Priest.
This man had learned something even more after 70 years in captivity. He prepared his heart to seek, to do, to teach. These are the Ezra the church is looking for. Men who would stand for the right though heaven falls. Men who will not be bought or sold.
Is there any office in our church that we can liken the office of the Priest and scribe. I mean, the same person being called to do the same duties. Yes? No? Then why not? Isn’t the same Lord who ruled then, rules now?
The King saw a man of substance, a man who fear God. Ezra did not got himself caught up in the politics of his day, his thoughts were about seeking God.
Continue Ezra 7: 25. This Ezra was a Man Of God. And thou, Ezra, after the wisdom of thy God, that is in thine hand…………, all such as know the Laws of thy God; and teach ye them that know them not.
Many SDA think sabbath was made for teaching all the precepts. No sacrifice during the week to return to church. Ezra was doing what was required and the King, though he was an heathen took notice. Are we the Ezra’ of today? Are we teaching the people Thus said the Lord.

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
