Man Reading a Bible while Sitting on a Garbage Can

Daily Lesson for Thursday 26th of February 2026 Read Colossians 1:28-29. What is Paul’s focus? Why do you think “everyone” (ESV) is repeated three times? The focus of Paul’s preaching was Christ and Him crucified (1 Corinthians 1:23). According to Ephesians 5:27, the purpose of Christ’s sacrifice is “that He might present her [the church] … Continue reading –>

The labor union did not like my client because my client wanted nothing to do with the union and had asked me to help. My client did not like the union because it … Continue reading –>

A man struggles as he pushes the world over a cross bridge

Daily Lesson for Wednesday 25th of February 2026 Read Colossians 1:26-27. Paul twice talks about “the mystery.” What mystery? In another place, Paul refers to “the mystery of God,” which is God’s eternal purpose “ordained before the ages for our glory” (1 Corinthians 2:7, NKJV) and revealed through the plan of salvation. Peter speaks of … Continue reading –>

The Bible declares two mysteries –the mystery of iniquity and the mystery of Godliness. The phrase, “mystery of iniquity,” is mentioned only one time and only in the KJV. “For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 2 Thessalonians 2:7 … Continue reading –>

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
