Sabbath School Net Posted on August 24, 2026 by William EarnhardtAugust 24, 2026avatar
a scrabble tile with the words love does not give up

Monday’s Lesson in this week’s Sabbath School lesson asks the question:  What has been your own experience with having your motives or intentions, however well-meaning and sincere, questioned or challenged? What should that tell you about how careful you should be when questioning someone else’s motives? My dad and I studied today’s lesson over the … Continue reading –>

Video: The Resurrection Versus Spiritualism

Sabbath School Net Posted on August 16, 2026 by William EarnhardtAugust 24, 2026avatar

Spiritualism is gaining momentum. Even in Adventist circles, I have seen Adventists on Facebook wishing their dead loved ones a “happy heavenly birthday.” This concerns me, as we know spiritualism will be one of the great deceptions in the last days. The Bible still remains plain about the state of the dead and the resurrection … Continue reading –>

Equal But Not the Same

Sabbath School Net Posted on August 2, 2026 by William EarnhardtAugust 16, 2026avatar

We were in our last couple of nights of evangelism meetings when a water pipe burst, flooding a room behind the sanctuary, near the baptistry entrance. One of the deacons told a local elder to help the other deacons pump the water out. The elder politely replied that he could not do that because he … Continue reading –>

Corinth – the Backdrop For Paul’s Letter

Sabbath School Net Posted on July 10, 2026 by Inge AndersonJuly 15, 2026avatar

For good Sabbath afternoon viewing, see the video below created for our first lesson. I believe it will help us understand the rest of the two letters to the Corinthians, which we are studying. I know that, even after reading the letters multiple times, I gained a deeper understanding of them through a better grasp … Continue reading –>

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
