12 Judgement on Babylon – Singing with Inspiration

Sabbath School Net Posted on March 18, 2019 by Corinne KnopperMarch 18, 2019avatar

Judgment! –   Hymn 416, “The Judgment Has Set” brings our lesson into music. Once again we can see that  “We Are Living, We Are Dwelling”, Hymn 617. Sadly, in Christchurch (New Zealand), we saw the unfolding of a horrible event this past Friday (15th March 2019). Can you sing  Hymn 5, “All My Hope on God is … Continue reading –>

Sabbath School Net Posted on March 18, 2019 by Joyce GriffithMarch 18, 2019Joyce Griffith

Judgment on Babylon. As we open this week’s discussion, consider the horrific picture that introduces the lesson: Horns, sharp animal horns and teeth, and a woman with a smirk on her face holding up a bowl of wine to drink.  What do your class members think of all of these symbols for the final unifying … Continue reading –>

Sabbath School Net Posted on March 11, 2019 by Corinne KnopperMarch 11, 2019avatar

Hymn 73, “Holy, Holy, Holy” and  Hymn 30, “Holy God, We Praise Your Name” are in our memory text, Rev 15:4. To help with Rev 11:18 when “the nations are angry”, are we ready to  “Sound the Battle Cry”, Hymn 614? Still in our Sabbath afternoon study, Rev 15:1-4 shows God’s faithful people are victorious over the … Continue reading –>

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
