Do We Keep the Change Or Not? — 5 Comments

  1. I heard a preacher say once most people perish while wishing and hoping they were saved. In reality, they’re like that cats running away from the only agency who can set them free. We need to yield to our heavenly father completely – with tears, on our knees praying, reading His word frequently. There is no other way to freedom from sin. I am a living witness of this fact. I struggled a total of three addictions for over 10 years. I was given total freedom only when I yielded completely and did what He told me to do: pray frequently and eat the bread of life (read the Bible) daily (every morning and at night.)

    “Come now, let us reason together, says the LORD:
    though your sins are like scarlet,
    they shall be as white as snow;
    though they are red like crimson,
    they shall become like wool.
    If you are willing and obedient,
    you shall eat the good of the land;
    but if you refuse and rebel,
    you shall be eaten by the sword;
    for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.”

    Isaiah 1:18-20

    A beautiful and well written piece. I will be sharing this with my middle schoolers. It has ministered to my heart tonight while I listened to "I'm not going back, I'm moving ahead". Thank you.

  4. Changing is a big word, specially if your really struggling to "get out" from that "vices" that you've been fighting for a long time. I've realized that even sometimes how much we put effort on it, human abilities are not strong enough, we still have the tendency to go towards the darker side, it's are nature. For that, we should always seek for God's guidance and never stop praying. Changing it's a process,let's us not stop aiming for that, after all,surely our God in heaven would never get tired in leading our way! For that let's be thankful!

  5. Thank you for such an opening lesson. Please help me I need a similar illustration but that shows that Jesus lifts us u, eg the story of Peter walking on water then sinks as soon as he looks back, meaning we have to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus so that we don't fall or sink. I need this to give as a challenge to our visitors.
    Thank you in anticipation of you valuable assistance.

    May God richly bless you in everything you do, your expedite response will be sincerely appreciated for I need this for this Sabbath 1 March 2014.
