Wednesday: The Gospels and the Cross — 1 Comment

  1. By linking the Passover to HIS death, we are enlightened about the overwhelming mercy in this life preserving sacrifce. Eternity will not be long enough to praise GOD for this extreme mercy! We are going to need some more people to help us, because our new intellect and abunant talents cannot match the praise GOD deserves. We must apply the blood to the door post of our own heart, and encourage others to quickly do the same. The chilling darkness of evil is growing proof that the hour of the real Passover is near. Apply JESUS, expect life and eternal liberty from the bondage of sin.

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
