  1. As a French speaking Canadian, Hope Sabbath School equips me with the tool to better understand the word of God through the Sabbath school lesson. The presenters are warm, understanding and are empowered by the Holy Spirit to convey the Lord message to the world. May the Lord continue to bless them and to shine his light upon them.

  2. You can't imagine how blessed I am with the topic you treated today ( divinity of the Holy Spirit ) I was a Muslim coming into the faith and you couldn't have made it anymore clearer to me who is the true living God. I pray never to miss any of your lessons and may God continue to empower you with the Holy Spirit. Amen

  3. It is incumbent upon the Spirit and within it's character to bring a redemptive conviction upon our souls. The conviction of the Holy Spirit is not to drive man/woman away but to redeem, reconcile and restore man unto God Himself... if only we would listen, if only we would be attentive and allow the Holy Spirit of God, through Christ Jesus to deliver us to that point.

  4. Greetings from Hendersonville, N.C.! I'm so thankful for the wonderful insight God gives you each week. So often, the comments from your class members, help me prepare to teach our S.S. class. Pastor Derek, the Scripture songs written by your dear wife, are especially meaningful. My husband & I sing right along with your class. A few weeks ago, someone in class, shared something really profound. He compared when God is silent, to a teacher in a classroom. He said in class, the teacher does most of the talking, but when He is silent, it's usually during a test. Is that an awesome analogy or what?
