Sabbath School Net Posted on May 15, 2025 by Sabbath School LessonApril 10, 2025avatar

Daily Lesson for Friday 16th of May 2025 Further Thought: Read Ellen G. White, “The Controversy Ended,” Pages 669–671, 676–678, in The Great Controversy.   Satan, once a covering cherub, sought to destroy confidence in God’s throne. God has allowed fallen angels to continue in their rebellion to show the universe the depths of wickedness … Continue reading –>

The Fallen Angels

Daily Lesson for Thursday 15th of May 2025 It seems incomprehensible that Lucifer once held the position of covering cherub, occupying an exalted position next to the throne of God. Surely his existence would have helped reveal the glory of God to the universe. Instead, he began to consider his own glory, not the glory … Continue reading –>

Love as Light Beaming From the Cross

This quarter we are studying how biblical allusions, among other things, help us interpret prophecy. The last book of the Bible truly becomes a revelation of Christ for those who are grounded in biblical teachings. One of these teachings is about what happens when a person dies, and another is about who the angels are. … Continue reading –>

24 Elders in Heaven

Daily Lesson for Tuesday 13th of May 2025 Cherubim, either as living beings (Ezekiel 10:8) or the gold symbols of them (Exodus 25:18), appear all through the Old Testament. At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
