Thursday: Choosing a Course

Sabbath School Net Posted on April 10, 2019 by Sabbath School LessonApril 6, 2019avatar
Pathway

At some point, we have to make the choice about what we want to do with our lives in terms of a job or career. Unless independently wealthy or working full-time at home taking care of the house and family (the most noble of all occupations), many people have to choose a path as far … Continue reading –>

Wednesday: Choosing a Life Partner

Life Partner

If you’re supposed to choose your friends carefully, you must be even more careful when it comes to choosing your future spouse. Adam was very blessed that God designed his life companion with His own hands and from within himself. Adam’s choice was easy since Eve was not just the only woman, but the perfect … Continue reading –>

Tuesday: Choosing Friends

Sabbath School Net Posted on April 8, 2019 by Sabbath School LessonApril 4, 2019avatar
People

One of the most important choices we’ll ever make is our friends. Most of the time we don’t set out to make friends; often friendships simply develop naturally as we spend time with people who enjoy some of the same things we do. What principles in choosing friends do we find in the following verses? Prov. 12:26; Prov. … Continue reading –>

2 The Choices We Make – Singing with Inspiration

Sabbath School Net Posted on April 7, 2019 by Corinne KnopperApril 7, 2019avatar

“…..As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord” said Joshua (Joshua 24:15). We ask in Hymn 193 “Savior, Teach Me” and prompt me to serve and follow Thee. We then know that  “I Serve a Risen Savior”, (He Lives), Hymn 251. From the many choices we have to make each day, let us say, … Continue reading –>

Free will, free choice. Which is true: A. Sin is so powerful that all human beings will be lost  B. God is so powerful that all human beings will be saved. C. Neither is true,  You probably chose “C. Neither is true/,” What are the actions that determine whether you will be lost or saved? … Continue reading –>

2: The Choices We Make – Teaching Plan

Sabbath School Net Posted on April 7, 2019 by Michael FrackerApril 7, 2019Michael Fracker

Key Thought: We make many choices we don’t even seem to think about. Some choices are eternal and life-changing. We need to think our choices through carefully. April 13, 2019 1. Have a volunteer read Matthew 22:35-37. Ask class members to share a thought on what the most important point in this text is. What … Continue reading –>

Monday: Making the Right Choices

Sabbath School Net Posted on April 7, 2019 by Sabbath School LessonApril 3, 2019avatar
Right Choices

We all know very well the importance of the choices we make. And we all know, too, how wrong choices can very negatively impact our lives and the lives of others. The question is, How can we know how to make the right choices? The following verses give us some general steps that can help us in … Continue reading –>

Sunday: Free Will, Free Choice

Sabbath School Net Posted on April 6, 2019 by Sabbath School LessonApril 3, 2019avatar
Free Will

Some Christians believe that God has chosen, even before a person was born, whether or not that person will be saved. That is, those who in the end are lost eternally are lost because God, in His wisdom (this theology claims) made that choice for this person to be lost. Which means, then, that regardless … Continue reading –>

Friday: Further Thought – The Rhythms of Life

Sabbath School Net Posted on April 4, 2019 by Sabbath School LessonApril 5, 2019avatar
Spectacles on Bible

Further Thought: Imagine the changes that occurred in the life of Christ’s disciples as they spent time with Him. They were mostly uneducated, simple people, accustomed to the teachings and traditions of their Jewish faith, but now they were being challenged by the Galilean Rabbi. They experienced jealousy (Matt. 20:20-24) and conflict (John 3:25); they seemed to lack … Continue reading –>

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
