Thursday: The Everlasting Gospel

Sabbath School Net Posted on April 25, 2018 by Sabbath School LessonApril 28, 2018avatar
The Holy Spirit at Creation

Read Revelation 14:6-7. What is the “everlasting gospel”? The gospel is referred to here as “everlasting”. This is further evidence that God does not change. An unchanging God has an unchanging gospel. This eternal gospel gives assurance to all who are willing to accept it. The gospel reveals the unchanging love of God, and it’s this … Continue reading –>

Key Thought: The reality of God’s love is made manifest in His design to save humans even though they don’t deserve it. Lesson 4, April 28, 2018 1. Have a volunteer read John 14:8,9 a. Ask class members to share a thought on what the most important point in this text is. b. What misconceptions … Continue reading –>

Wednesday: Assurance of Salvation

Sabbath School Net Posted on April 24, 2018 by Sabbath School LessonApril 28, 2018avatar
People Walking Through a Door in a Large Bible

Some Seventh-day Adventists wonder if they will be saved. They lack assurance and long to know their future, in terms of eternal life. They work hard to be good enough and yet know that they come short. They look within and find little to encourage them in their journey through life. When we see the … Continue reading –>

The Gospel Presentation

Sabbath School Net Posted on April 23, 2018 by William EarnhardtMay 6, 2018avatar

With this week’s lesson titled, “Salvation and the End Time,“ this is a good time to think about how we can share the hope of salvation with those those around us.  “More people than we think are longing to find the way to Christ. Those who preach the last message of mercy should bear in mind … Continue reading –>

Tuesday: The Love of the Spirit

Sabbath School Net Posted on April 23, 2018 by Sabbath School LessonApril 26, 2018avatar
The Love of the Spirit

The Holy Spirit has been misunderstood, almost as much as the Father. Some theologians have thought of the Spirit as the love between the Father and the Son. In other words, the Spirit is merely affection between the Father and the Son. This means that He is diminished to a relationship between two members of … Continue reading –>

Monday: The Love of Christ

Sabbath School Net Posted on April 22, 2018 by Sabbath School LessonApril 29, 2018avatar
The Love of Christ

Sin separated the human race from God; a yawning chasm opened between them, and unless that chasm closed, humanity was doomed to eternal destruction. The gulf was deep and dangerous. It took something utterly incredible to solve the problem of sin and to reunite sinful humanity with a righteous and holy God. It took One … Continue reading –>

Lesson 4 – Discussion Starters

Sabbath School Net Posted on April 22, 2018 by Maurice AshtonApril 27, 2018avatar

Joyce has been involved in a car accident that totally wrecked her car. And while she is uninjured, she is having to spend a lot of time on accident reports and insurance claims and has asked that she be excused from writing her “Discussion Starters” this week. We wish Joyce well as she works through … Continue reading –>

http://www.goodsalt.com/details/kacas0106.html?r=ssnet

Not too long before the cross, Jesus spoke with His inner circle about how people can come to the Father through Him. It was then that Philip said: “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us” (John 14:8, NKJV). How did Jesus respond to Philip? John 14:9. What does His response teach us about the Father? … Continue reading –>

Read for This Week’s Study: John 14:9; Zeph. 3:17; John 1:1-3; Rom. 8:38-39; Ps. 91:15-16; Rev. 14:6-7; Eph. 1:4-5. Memory Text: “This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins” (1 John 4:10, NIV). One fascinating but crucial difference between Christianity and non-Christian religions is that while the others … Continue reading –>

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
