Sabbath School Net Posted on June 16, 2026 by Robert NohrJune 22, 2026Robert Nohr
Man sharing with young adults in garden setting, enjoying sunny day.

1. Why is “Sharing Him” in this Quarterly—that is, how is it one of the ways to “Grow Your Relationship with God?” 2. What are other examples where “only in the doing” can you grow more deeply into a relationship or experience? (e.g., what’s the difference between “learning about marriage” and being in a marriage? … Continue reading –>

Prodigal Son Returns

Daily Lesson for Wednesday 17th of June 2026 Many know firsthand the pain and heartache of having a child who—despite the strong, spiritual home they were raised in—has chosen to walk away from a relationship with the Lord. Ephraim, as part of God’s chosen nation, strayed from the Lord. What do Hosea 4:17 and Hosea … Continue reading –>

Wanna Get Away?

Sabbath School Net Posted on June 14, 2026 by William EarnhardtJune 22, 2026avatar

Southwest Airlines used to have TV commercials that would feature someone getting themselves into an embarrassing situation and then ask, “Wanna get away?” Then they would advertise their low fares for anyone needing to get away quickly from wherever they were. In Mark 5:1-20, Jesus meets a demoniac in a very embarrassing situation. He is … Continue reading –>

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
