Jesus’ self-sacrificing Love.Does it seem to border on the unreal to believe that Jesus became a human being, was tormented and punished for  no good reason, and yet pours out His love today on you and me? Of course,  there’s nothing ridiculous about that belief. The sacrifice that Jesus made on  our behalf is the most precious … Continue reading –>

12: A Message Worth Sharing – Singing with Inspiration

Sabbath School Net Posted on September 13, 2020 by Corinne KnopperSeptember 13, 2020avatar

The title for the quarter’s lesson pamphlet immediately brings to mind Hymn 499 – What  A Friend We Have in Jesus. The Memory Text tells us to sing  Hymn 378 – Go, Preach My Gospel and Hymn 202 – Hail Him the King of Glory. The opening paragraph then says that “Christ’s atoning death was universal” … Continue reading –>

Sabbath School Net Posted on September 13, 2020 by Joyce GriffithSeptember 13, 2020Joyce Griffith

Peter’s Present-Truth Message. Consider some times when Jesus sent a special message before a display of God’s judgmental purpose. Examples: Noah,   Joseph, John the Baptist. What was the first key message that God sent to His people in the New Testament? What was the last and final message from God? What is the sole and … Continue reading –>

Sabbath School Net Posted on September 9, 2020 by Curtis HallSeptember 9, 2020avatar

“Tell them what great things the Lord has done for you” Mark 5:19` That was the instruction given to the formerly possessed as Jesus sent them back to their homes to work for the kingdom. Nothing is more meaningful than first-hand knowledge. What you have personally seen, felt, tasted, experienced is not theory, but evidence. But … Continue reading –>

11: Sharing the Story of Jesus – Discussion Starters

Sabbath School Net Posted on September 7, 2020 by Joyce GriffithSeptember 7, 2020Joyce Griffith

What a privilege it is to witness a life changed for Jesus, whether it is your life or the life of someone you know or are beginning to know. Obviously, you were not born a Christian. You may have been born into a Christian home and felt the joy of church and “happy Sabbath” activities … Continue reading –>

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
