Why Jesus Lives

Sabbath School Net Posted on February 20, 2013 by William EarnhardtDecember 9, 2016avatar
Heavenly Intercessor

Therefore he is able, once and forever, to save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their behalf. Hebrews 7:25 NLT Charles Spurgeon was born to preach. Mother Teresa was born to care for the poor. Abraham Lincoln was born to break the bonds of slavery. Everyone … Continue reading –>

Plate-Spinning

Sabbath School Net Posted on February 20, 2013 by Lillianne LopezAugust 29, 2017avatar

Do you remember that old circus trick? The performer would have about five sticks standing up straight and he’d put a plate on the end of each of the sticks and start it spinning so that the centrifugal force would hold the plate up and on the end of the stick. As long as the … Continue reading –>

Satan’s Biggest, Fattest Lie Ever!

Sabbath School Net Posted on February 7, 2013 by William EarnhardtSeptember 1, 2013avatar

In the late 1860s in the United States, shortly after the Civil War, which abolished slavery, a former slave owner is loading sacks of vegetables onto his wagon near the town square. Across the street he sees his former slave and yells out to him, “Get over here and load these bags onto my wagon … Continue reading –>

He Grew the Tree He Knew Would be Used to Make the Old Rugged Cross

Sabbath School Net Posted on January 29, 2013 by William EarnhardtJanuary 31, 2014avatar

Around a hundred years ago, when I was a teenager, a country singer by the name of Barbara Mandrell, sang, “He grew the tree that He knew would be used to make the old rugged cross.” The song brought out, that even at creation Jesus was planning our redemption. This song could not be any … Continue reading –>

“Not I But Christ” OR “Me Plus Christ”

Sabbath School Net Posted on January 16, 2013 by William EarnhardtOctober 16, 2015avatar

There are probably plenty of  reasons why God waited till He had created everything else, before He created man. Obviously the environment was not inhabitable for mankind earlier, but I would like to suggest another reason. If man had been around while God was creating the earth, he might have come up with the notion … Continue reading –>

Why? Why not?

Joy in Heaven

I love to think of those first days in Heaven. I try to imagine the wonder of seeing my Bible heroes visiting with people of every age. It will be so exciting to have the opportunity to go back over our earthly experiences with our guardian angels. That’s all going to be amazing and, I … Continue reading –>

Loving the Fence

Sabbath School Net Posted on December 3, 2012 by Lillianne LopezFebruary 13, 2018avatar

Have you ever seen those dogs who can go outside with their people and they don’t need a leash or a fence? They just stay right in their yard or beside their person. We had a dog like that once. He was a border collie and his name was Shadow. He knew exactly where our … Continue reading –>

Magical Christianity

Sabbath School Net Posted on November 27, 2012 by Stephen TerryNovember 11, 2013avatar

“Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. And his mother’s name was Hephzibah. And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, after the abominations of the heathen, whom the Lord cast out before the children of Israel. …And he … Continue reading –>

It Is Not Good For Man to Be Alone

Sabbath School Net Posted on November 21, 2012 by William EarnhardtSeptember 16, 2014avatar

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”  Hebrews 10:25 Over the years, I have heard many people tell me they don’t need a church. They can just study the Bible for themselves. They don’t … Continue reading –>

“Trust No One”

Sabbath School Net Posted on November 13, 2012 by William EarnhardtSeptember 11, 2013avatar
Lessons from the Bible.

How many legs does a spider have? Eight? Do you really know? I mean have you counted them? In 300 B.C. Aristotle said that spiders had six legs and was classified as an insect. All the world believed him, until finally in the 1400s somebody actually counted and saw they had not six, but eight … Continue reading –>

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
