Amazing Conversions in the Last Days

Sabbath School Net Posted on January 29, 2020 by William EarnhardtFebruary 5, 2020avatar

And at the end of the time I, Nebuchadnezzar, lifted my eyes to heaven, and my understanding returned to me; and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever: Daniel 4:34 NKJV Do you pray for the salvation of your political leaders or do you think they are so corrupt … Continue reading –>

Every Word of God Proves True

Every word of God proves true…Proverbs 30:5 NLT God’s Word said “if you eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil you will die.” The serpent said, “You won’t die!” insinuating God is a liar. The serpent was talking so it appeared defiance to God actually gave him special powers. Eve believed in … Continue reading –>

Who Has Your Back?

In the movie Black Hawk Down, the U.S. colonel was trying to rescue his men who who had been ambushed by gun fire while trying to intervene in the civil war in Somalia. He had Humvees picking up the dead and wounded all around. After loading a Humvee with several wounded soldiers, he told a … Continue reading –>

Living like Jesus in the Middle of Babylon

Sabbath School Net Posted on December 30, 2019 by William EarnhardtJanuary 9, 2020avatar

As Adventists we believe that in the last days there will be a showdown between spiritual Babylon and those who have the seal of God, who reflect the character of Jesus. While Daniel had his haters, it amazes me how he seemed to thrive and even found favor among the leaders of Babylon and Persia. … Continue reading –>

Sometimes the Little Things Make The Biggest Differences

Sabbath School Net Posted on December 26, 2019 by William EarnhardtDecember 30, 2019avatar

It’s funny – the memories that stay lodged in my mind. The impromptu summer afternoon trip to the ice cream shop with grandma ranks right up there with Thanksgiving dinner. The meaningful 30-minute conversation with my friend on the west coast who accidentally pocket dialed me at 2 AM my time was more fun than … Continue reading –>

Avoiding Bad Marriage Decisions

Life Partner

But that doesn’t mean that the law has lost its force. It is easier for heaven and earth to disappear than for the smallest point of God’s law to be overturned. “For example, a man who divorces his wife and marries someone else commits adultery. And anyone who marries a woman divorced from her husband … Continue reading –>

The First Sign Of Backsliding

The Bible Speaks to All People

Concerning Jesus, the Pharisees said, Have you been led astray, too?” the Pharisees mocked.  “Is there a single one of us rulers or Pharisees who believes in him? John 7:47-48 NLT In Luke 24:13-34 Jesus uses Scripture to explain to a couple of friends who the Messiah is, while they don’t even recognize Him. Jesus … Continue reading –>

How Singing Praises to God Turned My Day and My Life Around

Sabbath School Net Posted on December 6, 2019 by William EarnhardtDecember 11, 2019avatar

Does it seem that everything goes wrong at the same time? I was telling a friend of mine the other day that it seems I only get speeding tickets when I am absolutely broke.  For example, about twenty years ago, I was driving in the middle of the night across country to see my sister … Continue reading –>

This One Was Born There….

Becoming One Through His Love

The leaders of the people were living in Jerusalem, the holy city. A tenth of the people from the other towns of Judah and Benjamin were chosen by sacred lots to live there, too, while the rest stayed where they were. Nehemiah 11:1 NLT  I love living in Florida, but that does not keep me … Continue reading –>

The Abrahamic Covenant

A member of a church in which I had recently spoken asked me to come to her home. She was very upset because a neighbor claimed to be  a witch and put a curse on her home and family.  The lady church member believed in God but  was afraid of what this curse might mean.  … Continue reading –>

At a camp meeting 40 years later, I happened to see Dr. I. demonstrating some kind of health product, if I remember correctly. (In my mind, I see only the image of him, much older, but still looking much like he did when I was a student, with a friend by my side.) I lingered a little but did not introduce myself. I briefly wondered whether he recognized me. I’m fairly sure that I was as recognizable to him as he was to me.

Had he changed? Or did he still feel superior in his “humility”? Should I talk to him? I didn’t know how to approach him, and was busy with friends. I still don’t know whether I should have said something. (Maybe I’m just a coward.)

If God wants him to see my story, his and my identity are clear enough in this post, that God can direct him to it.
